A Pennsylvania mom is taking legal action against TikTok and its guardian company ByteDance after her 10-year-old child died whereas trying a viral “blackout challenge” she saw on the app.

According to the claim, on December 7, 2021, 10-year-old Nylah Anderson was “extremely suffocated” whereas attempting the viral issue, “encouraging the user to restrain himself with a belt, purse string or similar until he passed out.”
